How do you add pictures to samples in ForneyTools®?

Add pictures of sample location, rebar, forms, pressure meter gauge, density sample weight, cast specimens, curing box, etc. Also, add documents such as truck tickets, location sketches, drawings, etc.

 

Notes: 
- Users must have Enable Photo Upload permissions to manage photos. 

- User administrator/s can manage permissions for all users. Please see: How do I manage ForneyVault® users?

- File formats supported include: jpg, jpeg, png, bmp, and gif

Add images to a Sample

  1. Images can be added to an existing sample in ForneyTools.  Use article How to Manage a Sample in ForneyTools®? to select your desired sample. 
  2. Select the Photo tab then the Add Photo button to launch the Add Photo tool. 



  3. Select the files to add by dragging and dropping the files or using the Select Files button.
  4. Once added, select a title for the new images.




  5. Use the Upload Files button to add to your photos to the Sample record. 
  6. The uploaded images will be displayed as part of the Sample. 

 

 

Manage Photos in Sample

  1. Use article How to Manage a Sample in ForneyTools®? to select your desired sample. 
  2. Select the Photos tab to select the desired photo to manage. 



  3. Manage the photos by using the options: 
    1. View ( ): Open a quick view of the document in ForneyTools
    2. Download (): Download a copy of the file to your device. 
    3. Edit (): Edit the file's name. 
    4. Delete (): Delete and remove the photo from the Sample and from ForneyVault. 

 

Manage Photos Tool

Note: The total limit for Photo storage in ForneyVault is 300GB. 

  1. Access the Manage Photos tool from the Admin menu. 

  2. Select the files to be deleted from FormneyVault, then select "Delete Selected" to complete the operation.
