Windows 10 Support Status for ForneyLink HMI Tablets

As Windows 10 mainstream editions approach end-of-life, many customers have asked how this impacts ForneyLink devices. The short answer: it doesn’t. Our devices do not run the consumer or commercial editions of Windows 10 that are being retired.

Forney’s Operating System: Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021

All Forney control tablets ship with and are supported on Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021—a long-term servicing channel (LTSC) version of Windows built for industrial, embedded, and mission-critical environments.

Key points:

  • LTSC editions do not follow the lifecycle of standard Windows 10 Pro/Home.

  • They receive extended support, long-term security updates, and no feature-update churn.

  • Per Microsoft’s official lifecycle documentation, Windows 10 IoT Enterprise LTSC 2021 is supported until January 13, 2032.
