If you cannot locate a sample in ForneyVault, there are a few common causes. Use the steps below to troubleshoot.
1. Check for Active Filters

Look for an orange funnel (
)icon in the search or filter bar.

An orange funnel means a filter is active and may be hiding results.

Clear or adjust the filter to expand your search.
2. Verify the Sample Date

Confirm the date used in your search.

Make sure it matches the date entered at sample creation.

If unsure, widen the date range to include more possibilities.
3. Remove Extra Spaces

Extra spaces before or after text (especially in Project or Location) can block results.

Delete blank spaces and try searching again.
Additional Tips

Use partial keywords instead of full names. For example, search “Slab A” instead of “Slab A Northwest Corner.”

Confirm the sample was created under the correct Project.
