If you've already tested three specimens from a sample in a 24-hour period and you try to start another test for the same sample, the machine displays an alert.
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
If you've designated a cylinder as a hold cylinder and it accidentally gets broken, you can't get it back - which could lead to a costly core sampling. This feature is intended to prevent accidental tests of hold cylinders.
HOW IT WORKS
When this feature is enabled, it's automatic. You simply run tests the same way you always have. If you try to start the fourth test in a day from the same sample, the machine displays an alert message for the technician:
