When the current specimen breaks at a lower stress than an earlier one from the same sample, the machine displays an alert.
WHY IT'S IMPORTANT
If you're testing a 14-day cylinder and the resulting stress is lower than the 7-day cylinder, something might be wrong. The sooner you're aware of the issue, the quicker you can resolve it. Nothing can be quicker than immediately at the end of the test.
HOW IT WORKS
When this feature is enabled, it's automatic. You simply run tests the same way you always have. If a specimen breaks lower than an earlier result, the machine pops up an alert message for the technician:
