How to Retest a False Break Specimen?

False breaks can happen for many reasons. Your Forney machine provides you the ability to retest the specimen by following this guide.

1. Verify that a false break of the test specimen occurred by reviewing the break type.
2. On the Break Type screen select No Break -OR- Invalid to discard results.
   
   
   
   
3. At the prompt asking if you want to save your data, select "No."
4. Rerun the specimen test. 
5. If the test was successful, select the correct Break Type to record results to ForneyVault.
