How Do I Create an Unclaimed Sample Alert for Chain of Custody?

The Unclaimed Sample alert can help you monitor samples moving through the ForneyField Chain of Custody workflow. The alert can notify a selected Distribution Group when a sample remains at a selected custody status for a specified amount of time.

Create an Unclaimed Sample Alert

  1. In ForneyTools, select Alerts.
  2. Select Configuration.
  3. Select Create.
  4. Select the Project.
  5. Select Unclaimed Sample for the Type.
  6. Enter a Name for the alert.




  7. Under Alert On, select the Chain of Custody status "Cast".
  8. Enter the number of Hours before the alert should be sent.
  9. Select the Distribution Group that should receive the alert.
  10. Select Apply Definition.
