The ForneyVault powered ForneyLink HMI will need to be connected to the Internet upon installation. It can use a wired Ethernet connection or Wi-Fi. This article focuses on Wi-Fi connections.
Note:
We recommend the HMI is provided with an external static IP address and connected to a network speed of 10 Mbps or better.
Note:
The HMI does not need to be connected to your internal network or LAN. It can use a guest account, VLAN, VPN, dedicated network, etc. The HMI only needs Internet access to connect with ForneyVault.

Windows 10 Instructions
Note:
The instructions below can be completed easier by connecting a keyboard and mouse to the ForneyVault HMI during configuration.
- From the ForneyLink HMI software select Machine Setup.
- From the Machine Setup menu select Network Settings.
- Double-click the Wi-Fi network adapter from Windows Network Connections.
- Verify Wi-Fi is set to On then select Show Available Networks.
- Select your desired Wi-Fi network to enter the network key and select Connect.
- Select the on-screen keyboard to enter the network security key.
- Close all windows to return to the ForneyLink software.
