How Do I Move a Sample or Set to a Different Lab?

If you need to test a sample's specimens in another lab, ForneyTools' Manage Sample provides the necessary tools to assist you.

Move a Sample to Another Lab

  1. Select the Sample that includes the Set you need to move to another lab, from the Samples menu and select the Manage Sample () button to edit the Sample. 
  2. Enable DetailView to select the desired Set. 

  3. Select the Edit () button on the desired Set to edit its properties.
  4. Use the dropdown under Lab field to select the desired lab destination. 

  5. Click Submit to record the changes. 

 

 

Move a Set to Another Lab

  1. Select the Sample including the set you need to move from the Samples menu and select the Manage Sample ()button to edit the Sample. 
  2. Enable DetailView to enable editing of the corresponding Set. 



  3. Select the Edit Set to open the Edit window for the selected Set.




  4. Select the Edit () button for the Specimen you wish to move to a new Set.
  5. Select the desired new Set to move the tested Specimen.

  6. Select Submit to save changes. 
  7. The tested specimen will now show in the new Set.
